2018 USA Airport Greeter
New York (JFK, LGA, EWR), Boston (BOS) and Los Angeles (LAX)
Flexible, friendly, calm and organized individuals to meet students and group leaders as they arrive and depart the USA.
Be the first to meet students as they arrive for their summer adventure. Work mainly on the weekends, meals and transportation costs included.
Airport Greeters are responsible for meeting arriving students (groups and individuals) mainly during the weekends, and escorting departures to the airports during the week/and on weekends. Airport Greeters are also responsible for assisting the Transfers Manager in coordinating the airport transfers effectively. Airport greeters are the first point of contact with Embassy Summer and are expected to act professionally and have a neat appearance.
A flexible work approach towards the position with the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays is required.
Be present and on time at a designated airport to co-ordinate the arrivals and departures of students
Liaise with the Transfers Manager and the Center Management to ensure that flight
and student information is always accurate and up-to-date
Inform the relevant staff/transportation company of any delays or problems that might arise
Meet incoming students and make sure that they are escorted to their center
Inform the centers of approximate arrival times of the groups
Meet, check in and see off departing groups and individuals
Airport work experience (Desirable)
Experience working with and leading a group of teenagers, for example in a camp environment (Desirable)
Effective communication (written and verbal) skills
Proven excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills
Flexibility to work late/early hours
Valid First Aid and/or CPR Certificate (Desirable)
