Our Courses

Students who attend our summer school courses receive a combination of English language tuition (15 hours per week) and a comprehensive programme of activities and excursions. In full day teaching centres, students may have their lessons in the mornings or the afternoons. In half day teaching centres, lessons will take place in the morning. The activity programme will include daytime and evening activities and at least one half day and one full day excursion per week to local attractions and popular tourist locations.

Working week: Six days out of seven each week

The contract is based on 44 hours per week, working 6 days out of 7, and will include duties such as: Airport transfer support, providing a meet and greet service and a departure assistance service, general duties and activities team support. The working week is from Saturday to Friday, and consists of working every weekend, your day off will normally fall between Monday and Friday.

 

Reports to:  Transfers Management team

Organisational Compliance:

The job holder will be expected to operate in accordance with the Study Group Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to academic, welfare and safeguarding matters.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Promoting and Safeguarding the welfare of students for who you are responsible for and with whom you come into contact with.
  • Maximise student and group leader satisfaction by ensuring their experience meets or exceeds their expectations
  • To maintain levels of student discipline, safety and welfare
  • To work in a way that promotes the safety and well-being of children and young people
  • To be present at ports to assist with student arrival and departure transfers
  • To liaise with transport providers and centres to ensure the smooth running of transfers
  • To be on hand to assist the Transfers Management team to help solve any issues that may arise

Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level standard or equivalent  (Desirable)
  • Valid First Aid Certificate (Desirable)

 

Experience:

  • Summer school experience (Desirable)
  • Residential experience (Desirable)
  • Experience working at airports (Desirable)
  • Experience with meet and greet services (Desirable)

In addition to Transfer responsibilities, applicants may be required to undertake Activity duties. 

Please note this is a residential post.  

Weekly for Transfer reps: (18-20yrs) £276.15 per week / (21-24yrs) £347.65 per week / (25yrs+) £369.85 per week  (Based on 44 hours)

 

Your pay is broken down as Basic Pay + Holiday Pay (Holiday pay will be paid FORTNIGHTLY)
